NATURAL, EFFICIENT, MODERN...OLD
Area farmers gathered bags of wool to be transported to the village to be made into quilts, socks and mitts. A woolen comforter on a bed was the custom in the Frankenmuth household then as it is today.
From its beginnings in 1894, servicing local sheepherders, to knitting socks for the doughboys in Europe, the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill has served its Country and Community for over one-hundred years.
