NATURAL, EFFICIENT, MODERN...OLD
First Floor: 1922-24 - Spinning machines used for making large quantities of yarn. The production of yarn was one of the key parts of the Mill's business in the early 1900's. Today, the first floor is home to our "newest" carding machine built in the 1850's and installed in the 1930's.
From its beginnings in 1894, servicing local sheepherders, to knitting socks for the doughboys in Europe, the Frankenmuth Woolen Mill has served its Country and Community for over one-hundred years.
